Nadar (Paris, 1820-1910) Nadar initially studied medicine. Subsequently he surrounded himself with musicians, artists, critics, literary figures and it was in this environment that he began to be called Nadar. He began collaborating with some newspapers such as L'Entracte Lyonnais and Le Fanal du Commerce and published his works for the newspaper "L'Age d'Or", and then became a caricaturist for satirical newspapers. With the fall of Napoleon III in 1851 Nadar had to limit political satire and devote himself to portraits. Only later did he begin to deal with photography, taking lessons from Gustave Le Gray and opening a studio with his brother. After moving away from his brother, he moved his studio to Boulevard des Capucines, taking more commercial photographs and in 1874 he organized the first exhibition of the still unknown Impressionists there.
