Paolo Nava was born in Seregno in 1943. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Polytechnic of Milan and attended the Higher Course in Industrial Design in Florence, graduating in 1966. He completed his training in England, collaborating with design studios industrial. In 1972 he founded the Citterio-Nava studio together with Antonio Citterio, contributing to the creation of some of the iconic products of Italian design.
Since 1982 Paolo Nava has continued his activity as a designer independently in his studio/atelier, focusing on the design of furnishing products for renowned Italian and international brands. His projects highlight the continuous search for dialogue between his poetic vision and industrial and production needs. Through a personal conceptual approach towards living space, it generates a profound transformation of use, creating new relationships between materials and technologies. The shape of his objects is often the natural consequence of a precise design path.
A fundamental aspect of his work is three-dimensional verification through the laboratory model and direct experimentation on materials. Paolo Nava's studio has dedicated itself to the development of numerous products for the furniture industry, with particular attention to the world of cooking. The studio also deals with the design of consumer products, installations and communication. Paolo Nava also carries out teaching activities and as a speaker in various countries. Throughout his career, Paolo Nava's studio has received prestigious design awards and international recognition.
