Nazari Bartolomeo (Bergamo, 1693 - Milan, 1758) Bartolomeo Nazari frequented the workshop of Angelo Trevisani and became acquainted with the paintings of Sebastiano Bombelli, Antonio Pellegrini and Jacopo Amigoni. He dedicated himself to the creation of portraits, immortalizing political authorities, such as General Francesco Correr and some painters and protagonists from the world of music. Over time, Nazari achieved great success, so much so that in 1744 he was called by Emperor Charles VII to Frankfurt. In the following years the artist dedicated himself to the creation of 'character heads' and in 1757 he left for Genoa to satisfy the requests of the new Doge Giovanni Giacomo Grimaldi.
