Norman Foster (Stockport, 1935) Foster Norman trained at Yale University and from 1963 to 1967 he collaborated with R. Rogers. In the 1960s he created some of the most important projects in contemporary architecture, such as the buildings for IBM in Cosham, the Sainsbury Center for visual arts in Norwich (1978), the Renault center in Swindon (1983). In 1994 he received the Gold medal for architecture from the American Institute of Architects and in 1996 he participated in the 6th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice. In 1999 he obtained the prestigious Pritzker architecture prize and in 2007 the Aga Khan award for architecture.
