P.t. Nove Biography
The "Petucco & Tolio" factory for the production of artistic ceramics, founded in 1945 by partners Giovanni Petucco, Andrea Tolio and Gino Cuman, is located in Nove, in the province of Vicenza. In addition to the production of vases, ornaments and lamp bases, the specialty of the manufacture, under the direction of Giovanni Petucco, consists of decorative panels made in both traditional and modern styles, as well as famous stylized characters depicting priests and high prelates. Furthermore, important works, such as monotypes, created personally by Giovanni Petucco, were presented in various editions of the Venice Biennale and the Milan Triennale. The factory participated in the Venice Biennale exhibitions in 1948 and 1956, as well as the Vicenza National Ceramics Exhibition in 1949 and 1961. Furthermore, it also exhibited abroad, in Sweden, Finland, France and Germany. Despite the death of the founders, the factory continued its production until the end of the seventies and the beginning of the eighties.
