Oehme Ernst Erwin (Dresden, 1831 - Blasewitz, 1914) Oehme Ernst Erwin is a German painter, known for his oil on canvas paintings and his watercolors with landscapes, architecture, genre scenes and portraits. He attended the Dresden Academy of Art and worked for some time for Ludwig Richter; he subsequently carried out an artistic tour between Germany, Switzerland, England and France. His studies of nature during his travels greatly influenced his painting style, and the artist also created a series of watercolors on tapestries for several royal palaces.
