Eva Ohlow was born in Cologne, Germany, in 1940. From 1958 to 1966 she attended professional schools in Cologne and Wuppertal with Prof. Schaffmeister. From 1966 to 1979 she was assistant to Prof. Hubert Berke in Cologne. In 1976 he had a stay at Villa Romana in Florence. In 1983 he went on a study tour to northwestern India. In the period 1988-1992 he traveled for study in Central Africa - Congo on the theme "Fetishist Places, Pygmies - Protective Tattoos", and participated in the "Afro - European" symposium under the patronage of Johannes Rau. In 1997 he won the Gabriele Münster AB Mali and Burkina Faso Award. In 2004 she was a guest speaker at the sculpture exhibition in Wiesbaden City Park as part of the Wiesbadener Kunstsommer. In 2011 he took a study trip to Toluca, Mexico. Currently, Eva Ohlow lives and works in Cologne.
