Ono Yoko (Tokyo, 1933) Yoko Ono studied music at Sara Lawrence College, then moved to Manhattan, where she taught in public schools. His loft on Chambers Street soon became a point of reference in the New York art scene, where he organized music, poetry and performance happenings. In 1961 she held her first solo exhibition at the gallery of George Maciunas, founder of the Fluxus group, of which the artist herself was also a member. In 1966 he went to England, where he held an exhibition at the Indiga Gallery in London and met John Lennon. In 1971 he organized an imaginary exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, in which he filmed the spectators, considered the real works of art. Yoko Ono has remained active in both music and visual arts; he participated in the Venice Biennale in 2003 and in 2004 he held a solo exhibition at the Museum Kampa in Prague.
