Oprandi Giorgio (Lovere, 1883 - Bergamo, 1962) Giorgio Oprandi studied at the Carrara Academy and in 1907 won a scholarship, which allowed him to go to Rome, where he attended the nude school of the French Academy. Oprandi Giorgio (Lovere, 1883 - Bergamo, 1962) Giorgio Oprandi studied at the Carrara Academy and in 1907 won a scholarship, which allowed him to go to Rome, where he attended the nude school of the French Academy. After the Second World War he exhibited his works at the Pesaro Gallery in Milan, obtaining acclaim from the public and critics. In 1923 he traveled to the Biskra desert, where he created landscapes and exotic scenes, which he exhibited at the “Carducci” Institute in Como. Subsequently he dedicated himself to colonial genre painting and traveled to Eritrea, Egypt and Albania, where he painted twelve panels for the royal palace of Alexandria.
