Orazio Orazi was born on 21 September 1848 in Camerino. After receiving priestly orders from the Seminary of Camerino, in 1876 he obtained the authorization of Pius IX to move to Rome, where he attended the Academy of Fine Arts. He participated in the International Exhibition of Fine Arts in Rome in 1883, at the National of Turin in 1884 and at the Provincial Workers' Exhibition of Camerino in 1888. He continued to paint works of sacred and historical subjects, as well as producing numerous portraits of the local bourgeoisie. In 1900 he visited Paris for the Universal Expo. Furthermore, he made several copies of paintings commissioned by churches that had lost the originals, demonstrating great skill. Orazio Orazi died on 22 September 1912 in Camerino.
