Orlandini Paolo (1941) & Lucci Roberto (1942) Biography

Roberto Lucci and Paolo Orlandini began their collaboration in Milan in 1968 and, since then, have developed a wide range of distinct industrial products. Orlandini completed his architectural studies at the Polytechnic University of Milan, while Lucci attended the Institute of Design in Chicago. Together, they have participated in numerous editions of the Milan Triennale and boast a series of international awards and works exhibited in famous design collections, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, the Museum fur Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg and the Center National D'Art Contemporain in the Louvre in Paris.
Lucci and Orlandini have collaborated with Knoll for over two decades, creating a vast collection of seating and products for the working environment characterized by a simple and intuitive design for users. Many of their products created for Knoll, such as the SoHo chair, have received major awards and recognition in both North America and Europe.
