Fortunato Ornaghi (1930 - ) was born in 1930 in Desio, Lombardy. He entered the Institute of Craftsmen where he studied diligently. In Ornaghi we discover an artist with a weakness for the landscape which, always painted en plein air, he portrays with great poetic sense. In fact, he spends much of his time in the woods, absorbing the nature that gives him so much pleasure. He prefers to represent the simple and eternal subject of the generally sylvan landscape. Fortunato's forest images have been warmly received by nature lovers around the world. His palette is rich in shades, from the cold and somewhat foggy colors of a rising dawn to the warm reddish tones of a summer sunset; from the tender green of spring to the white of winter snow. In Ornaghi everything is poetry, which is why he can be defined as a poetic artist.
