Maurizio Osti (1944 - ) Born in Sasso Marconi in 1944, he trained in the climate of the Neo-avant-garde (New Writing, Conceptual Art, artist's books), participated in national exhibitions - including the XI Quadrennial of Rome in 1986 and The 2014 Rimini Drawing Biennial – and international. He has always worked as a conceptual visual artist, also expressing himself in the field of artist books and object books. He has participated in national and international exhibitions. Although he has long been a professor of special graphic techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, his important activity in the field of editorial graphics is less known. In 2009 he received the Guglielmo Marconi International Award for Multimedia Art, in 2016 the nomination as Honorary Member of Aiap and in 2018 in Suzzara the recognition for his career in Art in Arts and Crafts. In 2017, the Poletti Library in Modena, on the occasion of the Philosophy Festival, hosted a retrospective of his artists' books.
