Founded in 1945 in Recanati, the Ottaviani Spa company (1954 - ) produces jewellery, writing instruments and decorative and functional objects for interiors. Romolo Ottaviani, watchmaker and goldsmith from Recanati, in the early years after the Second World War created the Recanati artisan workshop (LAR) for the production and sale of sacred objects and taught his children to work with precious metals. In 1944 the "Romolo Ottaviani and sons" laboratory was born. Only a year later the first mass production of jewelery began and the laboratory took the name "Creazioni Ottaviani di Alberto, Gherardo, Romolo". The debut in the production of sacred objects in silver and gold was born from the proximity of the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Loreto. In the early seventies, the Recanati company embarked on the path towards product diversification thanks to the introduction of new production techniques such as the electroplating of silver through a galvanic process and the molding of bilaminated silver sheets. In 2009, the Ottaviani Gioielli collection in 925 silver was joined by the Bijoux Line which uses less noble but very colorful materials and is characterized by a more accessible price. Today the Bijoux Line represents approximately 40% of the turnover. At the helm of Ottaviani we find Laura Ottaviani, granddaughter of the founder, who is entrusted with the entire product design, from the design of furnishing accessories to jewellery, bijoux and watches.
