Pace Carlo (Rome, 1937-2011) Carlo Pace approached the Alessandria and national culture of the 20th century and the main avant-garde movements: spatialism, geometric and informal abstractionism. In 1961 he participated in a collective exhibition in Alessandria at the La Maggiolina gallery and in 1962 at the Il Traghetto gallery in Venice. He was interested in painting for its material and expressive aspect and dedicated himself above all to the representation of female figures with geometric shapes, similar to cubism or post-cubism. His artistic technique focused on the use of various recycled materials, such as corrugated cardboard, metal elements, wood, old frames, papers and on a concept of free art, made up of forms in progress, in search of aggregation and expression .
