Mario Padovan (Trieste, 1927). The artist's talent was recognised, right from the start, by Umberto Saba. He is an eclectic character, a sculptor, graphic designer, set designer and costume designer, author of art columns for newspapers and magazines, member of the AICA (Association International de Critiques d'Art). Having gained his experience first in Paris and then in the United States, he developed a very modern conception of visual representation. The artist can be considered as a precursor of many artistic characters of the 20th century. In 1959 he had his first important exhibition at the Salon de l'Art Libre-Musèe d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. In 1960 he participated in the VIII National Art Quadrennial in Rome and organized his first personal exhibitions in the United States. In 1970 he was invited to the 37th International Film Biennial "Homage to Charlie Chaplin". In 1981 he was invited to the 14th International Graphics Biennial and in 1984 to the 46th International Venice Biennale. In 1996 he participated in the VIII edition of the "Baghdad International Festival for Photography Pictures". In 2001 he was invited to the VIII Art International in Cairo during which he was awarded an award. In recent years he has organized over one hundred personal exhibitions in Italy and abroad and equally collective ones.
