Oreste Paltrinieri was born in Verona in 1873 and was initially a pupil of the painter N. Nani at the Cignaroli Academy in Verona. He later moved to Tuscany, where he studied in Lucca with A. Campriani and in Viareggio with P. Nomellini. His attention was concentrated above all on the representation of landscapes and rural scenes.
His intense exhibition activity began in 1892, when he presented “Effetto di sole” in Florence and “Al fresco” in Livorno. Since then, he continued to exhibit his paintings in various Italian cities, including Milan in 1894 (with “Vespero” and “Sito tranquil”), Turin in 1898 (with “In the countryside”) and Genoa in 1901 (with “Raccolto di castagne in Garfagnana”) and in 1913 (with “Nebbia e sole”).
Paltrinieri assiduously participated in the exhibitions of the Society of Fine Arts of Genoa until at least 1929. His date of death is not certain, but it is known that he lived until at least 1951
