John Victor Pasmore (Chelsham, 3 December 1908 – Valletta, 23 January 1998). After attending evening courses at the Central School where Archibald Standish Hartrick taught, he came into contact with impressionistic and post-impressionist painting. From 1928 to 1935 he approached fauvism, cubism and abstractionism. In 1934 he exhibited at the Objective Abstractions exhibition. He founded the Euston Road School in 1937 inspired by lyrical naturalism. Starting from 1948 he adhered to concrete art. A period begins during which he creates collages with geometrized structures. Since 1951 his interest has turned to concrete art, in fact he creates three-dimensional works with plexiglass and metal tubes.
