Mauro Patrini (Pizzighettone, 1965). Although he did not carry out artistic studies, starting from the 1980s he approached art and in particular painting. He moves in search of expressive forms that can satisfy his need for innovation. After having learned, thanks to his attendance at the European Center for the Conservation of the Architectural Heritage of Venice, various artisan techniques, he dedicated himself to the artisan profession. Starting in 1996 he began a fruitful collaboration with the Brescian master Renato Giangualano who commissioned a series of prestigious works from him. In 2000 he took care of the renovation of the scagliola flooring of the Coffee House in the Quirinale Palace in Rome and, having moved to West Palm Beach (Miami – Florida – USA), the creation of scagliola decorations in a private villa. In 2001 he restored the scagliola coat of arms of Casa Lancellotti in Piazza Navona and in 2003, being in the Principality of Monaco, he collaborated with a research group financed by the European Community for the use of innovative natural materials. His works are part of the most important collections.
