Alfons Peerboom was born on March 22, 1877 in Eijsden, a municipality in the Netherlands. He was a German-Dutch painter of still lifes and interiors, and was also known for his skill in ornamentation and the creation of stained glass windows. Peerenboom attended the Düsseldorf School of Applied Arts and the Art Academy. He lived in Düsseldorf his entire life, with the exception of the period between 1940 and 1945 during which he moved to Wiesbaden. He was best known for his floral still lifes until his death. In addition to painting, Peerboom designed stained glass, ornaments and interior designs starting in 1907. He participated in the exchange exhibition at the Great German Art Exhibition in Munich in 1939 and 1940. Alfons Peerboom died at the age of 82 in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel.
