Petersen Robert (Valby, 1882 - Frederiksberg, 1949) Robert Petersen studied at Fullerton Community College, where he cultivated his interest in architecture, developing a passion for drawing, painting and engraving. In 1969 Petersen worked as a printer's assistant at Gemini GEL, where he printed editions for Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein, and Robert Rauschenberg. Petersen became one of the principal printers of Rauschenberg's "Stoned Moon" series, becoming friends with the latter. In 1971 the two artists created an experimental print shop, Untitled Press Inc. In the 1970s Petersen created minimalist monochrome works, and in 1973 he had his first solo exhibition at Galerie Sonnabend in Paris, followed by numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout world. His works are preserved in international private and public collections.
