Gianluca Piaccione (1971 - ) is an artist born in Taranto who was able to combine art with technology, thus giving life to an imaginative and creative art form. In many of his works the artist makes the back of the canvas the protagonist, in fact once cut it is turned over onto the front. Cuts and folds made with care to create an elaborate system of linear geometric shapes. With his creations, Piaccione continually tries to bring his works to life through the use of three-dimensionality, shaping unique and particular optical effects. In addition to being a painter, the artist is also a sculptor and creates design works.
