Gianni Pinna was born in Guspina, Sardinia, in 1934. He completed his studies in sculpture at the art schools of Turin and Milan. He currently lives and works in Bollate. Since 1975, he has exhibited his works in numerous solo and collective exhibitions throughout Italy. His sculptural production has found application in the field of design and art applied to industry, and documentary reports relating to his work have been published in various magazines specialized in the furniture sector. He was part of the Codi-Art Group together with Pedro Fiori and Salvador Presta. His works are present in important Italian and foreign collections. In 2008 he was awarded the Arts Prize and the Culture Prize in the twentieth edition.
