Pinwell George John (London, 1842-1875) George John Pinwell was an English watercolor painter. He studied at St. Martin's Academy and Heatherley's Academy. He belonged to the small group of watercolorists, which also included Frederick Walker and Arthur Boyd Houghton. He made a small drawing for the periodical Fun and made several others for Elkington's silversmiths. He worked for Josiah Wood Whymper and through the latter met JW North and Fred Walker.
