Francesco Polazzo (Venice, 1682 – Venice, 1753). After training in Bologna, Polazzo returned to Venice where he approached the painting of Sebastiano Ricci and Giovanni Battista Piazzetta. His activity takes place in Venice, but also in Brescia and Bergamo where he creates various works of both religious and civil themes. From a stylistic point of view, the model offered by Piazzetta and the influence coming from both the Bolognese training and the Venetian manner are important.
