Eugenio Polesello (Pordenone, 1895 - Turin, 1983). Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, he became a student of Guglielmo Ciardi and Ettore Tito. His first production was initially influenced by the lessons of Ciardi, then by impressionism and the freedom of expression carried forward by Gino Rossi, Pio Semeghini and Umberto Moggioli, in opposition to the return to the order of the twentieth century. At the Biennale he studied Cézanne and dedicated himself to illustrating artistic postcards. He held a personal exhibition in Milan at the Galleria Micheli. In 1931 he created Italian landscapes for the “Dante Alighieri” company. In 1933 he organized a solo show at the “Charpentier” Gallery in Paris. Between the 1950s and 1960s his landscapes took on a metaphysical setting and more recently the sharpness of the contours faded.
