Marco Pollice Biography
Marco Pollice, graduated from the Polytechnic of Milan with a specialization in lighting engineering and film direction obtained in New York, represents the third generation of a family of light enthusiasts who have dedicated themselves with care and wisdom to lighting since 1908, combining tradition and innovation. Their experience has resulted in excellent projects, including the Milan Cathedral, the Autostrada del Sole, the Mont Blanc tunnel, the Flaminio Stadium in Rome and the Nice seafront.
This knowledge is now put at the service of a vision that plans a new ethical and cultural Renaissance, in which light becomes the guarantor of the most important value: our health. The new quantitative and qualitative parameters of light must in fact be respected to guarantee the correct functioning of our biological clock, which regulates circadian rhythms, and to preserve the environment through ecologically sustainable innovation which is already underway.
Since 1998, Marco Pollice has been one of the founding members of APIL, the Association of Lighting Professionals, and has been a member of the Council of Aidi and of the CIE since 2007. He continues to collaborate with the editorial staff of Luce magazine, writing articles for publications specialized, hold workshops and lessons at the Polytechnic, and participate in conferences in Italy and abroad, promoting the dissemination of knowledge in the field of lighting and LED technology.
