André Poujet is a well-known French post-war artist, born in 1919. His artistic career began in 1947, when he presented his first exhibition, entitled Peintures abstraites, at the Galerie Denise René - Rive Gauche in Paris. Since then, he has participated in at least two solo exhibitions and two group exhibitions in over 65 years of artistic activity. His works, mainly abstract in nature, have been exhibited in many French art galleries, but also in Australia, where he held an exhibition entitled Guppy Jungle at the Ryan Renshaw Gallery in Fortitude Valley, QLD in 2012. His art has been appreciated by critics and art enthusiasts all over the world, thanks to her ability to create aesthetically interesting and complex works, with a strong emotional impact on the viewer.
