Provino Salvatore (Bagheria, 1943) Salvatore Provino is an Italian painter. He frequented the studio of his fellow citizen Renato Guttuso and in 1964 the Consorti Gallery in Rome organized his first solo exhibition, in which he recalled the places of his childhood. In the 1960s his painting became closer to the English style and in particular to Francis Bacon. In 1974 the artist embraced Lobacevskij's theory regarding the sphericity of the body and geometry understood as the structure of physical space. He held numerous personal exhibitions in important national public spaces, such as the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara, the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, Castel dell'Ovo in Naples, Cervia at the Magazzini del Sale. He also exhibited in the most important museums in Shenzhen, Shenyang, Canton, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Changshu.
