Mario Raciti (Milan, 1934) In 1986 he participated in the Venice Biennale and the Rome Quadrennial, gaining fame abroad as well. In 1989 he held a personal exhibition at the Pavilion of Contemporary Art in Milan. He organizes numerous exhibitions both in Italy and abroad, including the anthology in Palazzo Sarcinelli, Conegliano in 1997; in 2001 he exhibited at the Westend Frankfurter Galerie and presented his pastels at the Casa dei Carraresi in Treviso; in 2002 he presented his paintings at the Galleria S. Fedele and "Le carte nel cassette" at l'Originale, Milan. In his works the planes of light mark times and spaces in search of images which, although possible, never appear determined; there is a profound color clarity within which the object one is ultimately looking for cannot be represented. His pictorial research is based on a lyrical and visionary vision of the world and follows a path that starts from initial tests post-informal, passes through the phase of presences-absences and arrives at current mythologies.
