Rainaldi Oliviero (Caramanico Terme, 1956) Oliviero Rainaldi is a sculptor and a painter. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice together with the painter Emilio Vedova and in 1998-1999 he deepened his interest in the union between art and liturgy, attending two-year studies at the Theological Institute of Sant'Anselmo. Since 1976 he focused on human figures, through research into drawings, paintings and sculptures, creating connections between bodies and archaic and medieval cultures. In 2007 he presented a major exhibition of works from 1988 to 2006 at Palazzo Venezia in Rome. Between 2007 and 2010 he created prizes for sculptures, dedicated to the purposes of peace, human rights and cultures and in 2010 Rainadi received the European Personality Prize at the Campidoglio in Rome. In 2015 he received a commission from the Maserati Group to create a backlit marble sculpture for the company's 100th anniversary celebration. His works have been exhibited in many museums and exhibitions in Italy and abroad, and his works are also present in important national and international public institutions.
