Antonio Rizzi (Cremona, 1869 – 1940) was an Italian painter. He worked a lot in his hometown, where he had important commissions: the curtain of the Ponchielli Theater and the large canvases in the Salone della Consulta. He achieved national notoriety when he won the 1913 competition held for the mosaics to be created in the lunettes of the propylaea of ​​the Vittoriano, in Rome. The subjects chosen were: Peace, Free Thought, Union, Law, Value. Four canvases are preserved in Cremona, very close to the definitive solution of the mosaics, probably the tests at a quarter of the actual size. Also worth mentioning are The Corn Pickers on the Farmyard (1903).
