Francesco Rosaspina (Montescudo, 1762 - Bologna, 1841) was a famous Italian engraver. Born in Montescudo in 1762, he moved with his family to Bologna, where he became famous for his engraving activity.
Rosaspina dedicated himself mainly to the paintings of Parmigianino and Correggio, the major artists of the seventeenth century Bologna, Andrea Appiani and the European eighteenth century, producing more than a thousand engraved plates during his career. Read the full biography

Francesco Rosaspina (Montescudo, 1762 - Bologna, 1841) was a famous Italian engraver. Born in Montescudo in 1762, he moved with his family to Bologna, where he became famous for his engraving activity.
Rosaspina dedicated himself mainly to the paintings of Parmigianino and Correggio, the major artists of the seventeenth century Bologna, Andrea Appiani and the European eighteenth century, producing more than a thousand engraved plates during his career. He was also a teacher at the Clementina Academy and a friend of Andrea Appiani and Giovanni Battista Bodoni. Rosaspina died in Bologna in 1841.
