Rossi Raffaele (Alba, 1956) Raffaele Rossi is an artist from Turin. He attended the Art School in Novara and had his first solo exhibition in 1978. In the 1980s he exhibited a series of works on paper at the Galleria l'Ariete in Bologna. Fascinated by ancient painting techniques, he entered the workshop of two Venetian painters: Valeria Rambelli and Ottone Marabini. He learned the technique of preparing colors with egg tempera and oil and learned the preparation of panels and canvases. He also experimented with frescoes which led him to his current pictorial moment characterized by thick surfaces. His works are preserved at the Gallery of Modern Art of Palazzo Sarcinelli, Credit Suisse, Museo dello Splendore, Bank Julius Baer (Hong Kong) and many other places.
