ROVEDATA, John the Baptist. ‒ He was born around 1579-1580 in Trento, son of the painter Pietro Antonio and Eleonora Triangi. After his first artistic education with his father - of whom no work has survived - he had to follow a more decisive training in Verona, attested both by the results of style, linked to the environment of Felice Brusasorci, and by the tradition that for a long time, until to the studies of Simone Weber. Giovanni Battista died after 1629, the year in which he signed his last known work, in the church of S. Maria Assunta in Baselga del Bondone.
