Alberto Roveri was born in Milan on 14 October 1947. His photographic career began in the 1970s with the weekly ABC, then as a collaborator of the DFP Photojournalism Agency led by Aldo Bonasia. These are the "years of lead" and, every day, Roveri documents the social tensions, the street clashes, but also the radical change in customs that the country experiences. Then he also collaborated with Espresso, Panorama, L'Europeo, and Prima Comunicazione until 1983, when he was hired with an exclusive journalism contract with the weekly Panorama, for which he worked until 2009.
