Manuel Ruiz Pipo' Artwork valuations, appraisals and auction estimates

Manolo Ruiz-Pipo was born in July 1929 in Granada.
He attended an art school in Barcelona from 1942 to 1954, then obtained a scholarship to the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris. During this first stay he dedicatedly studied the works of Georges de La Tour exhibited at the Louvre museum. Read the full biography

Manolo Ruiz-Pipo was born in July 1929 in Granada.
He attended an art school in Barcelona from 1942 to 1954, then obtained a scholarship to the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris. During this first stay he dedicatedly studied the works of Georges de La Tour exhibited at the Louvre museum. In the capital he later met Pablo Picasso, who, in addition to having a strong artistic influence on him, introduced him to the Jeanne Castel gallery, where Ruiz-Pipò then exhibited in 1955.
His paintings depict genre scenes, still lifes, nudes, bullfighting, maternity. He also dedicated himself to the production of lithographs, among these the most famous are those containing scenes of erotic mythology published in the "Eros Minos" edition by the Bailly gallery in Paris in 1991.
He died in September 1998 at his home in Saint-Romain-le-Noble, France
