Giuseppe Sacheri was born on 8 December 1863 in Genoa. There he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts, following the lessons of Arturo Moradei. Subsequently, he moved to Turin to continue his studies at the Royal Albertina Academy of Fine Arts. From 1883, he participated in the Promotrice of Genoa, where he exhibited until 1932. Between the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s, he undertook a series of trips to Scandinavia and England. During the First World War he managed to exhibit in Milan, Rome and San Francisco. His painting was characterized by free divisionism and the thick application of colour. Although he was a skilled colourist, he was never involved in the artistic movements of the twentieth century. A prolific painter, his extensive catalog mainly includes seascapes and landscapes. Sacheri died in Pianfei, 16 October 1950.
