Pierre Sala (1948 - 1989) was born in Paris in 1948. Unlike most furniture designers, Sala did not study architecture or drawing. He comes from the world of theater and has studied gestural semiology, body language and scenography. In 1969 he became a director, in 1973 theater director. For him, furniture is a spectacle in itself, the opportunity to break the usual laws for the benefit of the imagination, of pleasure, of the spectacular. From 1981 to 1984 he participated in the Salons in France and abroad. In September 1981 he was at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs, in 1982 in Milan, in March 1983 in Philadelphia (USA). His furniture was modified in small quantities, sometimes remaining prototypes.
