Born in Milan in 1905 to a Tuscan family, Salvadori completed his artistic training in Florence. In 1929 he was among the teachers of the Higher Institute of the Villa Reale in Monza, with Arturo Martini, Pio Semeghini and subsequently with Marino Marini. He had a long association with Giorgio Morandi. In 1939 he participated in the second Esposizione di Corrente in Milan; during his activity the artist has participated in many editions of the Venice Biennale and the Rome Quadrennial. He was present at the great International Exhibition of Modern Design organized in Bergamo in 1950; here he obtained the first prize - ex aequo with Gianni Dova - of the Vth Edition of the Bergamo Prize, organized in 1959.
