Emimmo Salvi, born Domenico Salvi on 23 January 1926 in Rome, was a well-known Italian director, screenwriter and film producer. He began his career in the world of cinema as a production inspector, and then became production manager in important films such as Francesco, "Jester of God" (1950) and "Viaggio in Italia" (1954) by Roberto Rossellini, "The Bigamist" (1955) by Luciano Emmer and “The Nights of Cabiria” (1957) by Federico Fellini.
Emimmo Salvi subsequently moved on to directing, directing numerous films of the so-called genre cinema, in particular the spaghetti western and peplum genre.
Following an illness he decided to take his own life in 1982
