Santafede Fabrizio (Naples, 1560-1634) Fabrizio Santafede was an Italian painter, who worked in Naples. He was influenced by Tuscan-Venetian mannerist painting and in 1593 he painted the panel of the "Madonna and Child with Saints Benedetto, Mauro and Placido" in the church of Santi Severino and Sossio in Naples. Subsequently the artist approached the works of Caravaggio, Santi di Tito and Domenico Crespi. At the beginning of the 17th century, some paintings were commissioned from him for the Pio Monte della Misericordia. He also operated in other cities in southern and northern Italy and in Spain.
