Nelusco Sarti was born in Florence in 1922 and was an active painter in the period between 1960 and 1970. During his artistic career, the well-known painter exhibited in numerous exhibitions, both personal and collective, and today he is recognized as an important figure of the Florentine artistic panorama of that period. Among his most significant exhibitions it is possible to mention the one held in 1965 at the Savonarola Gallery in Florence.
In addition to his activity as a painter, Sarti collaborated on the poetic collection entitled Pain of absence (1961) by Eugenio Miccini. In this collection, three plates depicting untitled drawings by the artist were reproduced. His collaboration in the creation of this important work constitutes a further sign of recognition of his artistic contribution in the Florentine cultural panorama of the time.
