Vincenzo Satta was born in Nuoro in 1937.
He studied at the Art Institute of Sassari and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
During the 1960s, Satta overcame figurativity and concentrated on geometric language, expressing his symbolic-representative intentions. He has exhibited in public and private spaces, including the Galleria delle Ore in Milan, the Sala Comunale d'Arte Contemporanea in Alessandria and at the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara.

In the 1990s, Satta's painting became immediate and changeable, with explicit allusion to the song of color. He created a field full of pure chromatic sensitivity, where the image became pure luminous vibration. His activity has been documented in numerous exhibitions, including the one at the MAN in Nuoro in 1999
