Born and raised in Bologna, Savini later became a professor at his city's Academy of Fine Arts. Throughout his career, he participated in numerous art exhibitions, exhibiting some of his most famous works.

In 1884, at the Turin Fine Arts Exhibition, he presented the paintings "Honeymoon", "Devota Patrizia", ​​"Age of Flowers" and "Lace of Love". The following year, at the Florence exhibition, he exhibited the paintings "Spring Flowers" and "Autumn Flowers", and other works.
In 1887 he exhibited in Venice and the following year in Bologna.
