Piero Scandura was born in Pistoia and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara, specializing in Visual Arts - Painting. He currently holds the role of state teacher in the discipline of Art and Image. Training at the Academy was led by Maestro Umberto Buscioni, whose charismatic personality strongly influenced him in his artistic and teaching activity. Scandura is a painter, graphic designer and designer and collaborates with various organizations and companies. He has exhibited and continues to exhibit in venues and art spaces in Italy and abroad, such as the Rouge Garance Gallery in Montferrand, the Lacke&Farben Art Gallery in Berlin and the "Turelli" Gallery in Montecatini Terme. Among the critics who have written about him are Paolo Levi, Giorgio Di Genova, Guglielmo Gigliotti, Cinzia Compalati, Renato Carozzi and Andre B. Del Guercio. Scandura collaborated with the Municipality of Fosdinovo, the Province of Massa-Carrara and the Tuscany Region. In 2012 his work was included in the catalog of the Barbara Paci Gallery at Art Verona, while one of his graphics is present in the Paper Museum of Pescia.
