Angela Scappaticci Biography
Angela Scappaticci was born in Germany in 1965, but lives and works in Rome, after having attended the State Institute of Art, specializing in the field of pictorial decoration. Characterized by the attraction for lights, colors, nature and different materials, his art becomes a continuous search for new expressions. By incorporating elements of vegetal, animal, mineral or synthetic origin into his colours, mixing them with stucco and resins, he creates paintings that range from informal figurativism to symbolic abstractionism, with a predominantly esoteric and introspective content. Exploring the symbolism of shapes and colors in space, he has collaborated as a lighting technical assistant for theatre, dance and dance therapy companies. His continuous research then moved to the study of emotions applied to colors and to the psycho-pedagogical reading of children's drawings. At the same time, she has also specialized in the sector of different skills, following the artistic and social tracks in a parallel way, often meeting, intersecting and overlapping. We can therefore say that Angela is a creative artist, capable of helping people with disabilities, especially younger ones, to overcome the limits that hinder the expression of their potential. This is how Angela's interactive workshops were born, aimed mainly at children and people with reduced abilities, which connect participants with their intellectual and inner world, with their emotions and with their ability to manipulate shapes, objects and materials to acquire sensorial experience. These workshops, which often take place in contact with nature outdoors, have the aim of creating a relationship with the outside world, improving intellectual functions and acquiring well-being deriving from confidence in one's natural creative abilities. Despite all these commitments, Angela has never abandoned her personal research and continues to exhibit throughout Europe, bringing with her the wealth of emotions and experiences that the continuous contact with the creative reality of her workshops continues to give her, always enriching her with more from both a human and artistic point of view.
