The sculptor and ceramist Beppe Schiavetta was born in Savona in 1949 and completed his studies at the "Arturo Martini" Art School in Savona and at the Albertina Academy in Turin. The sculptor and ceramist Beppe Schiavetta was born in Savona in 1949 and completed his studies at the "Arturo Martini" Art School in Savona and at the Albertina Academy in Turin. An exponent of the Ligurian informal movement, in the 1980s he created a series of works in which the earth material was superimposed in thin sheets with chipped edges and decorated in colours, sometimes soft, sometimes violent. Between the Eighties and Nineties he carried out, on several occasions, some works at the ovens of the Albisola area "Fabbrica Casa Museo G. Mazzotti 1903" of Bepi Mazzotti and his son Tullio (second of the name). In 1992, at the Albisola factory "Casa dell'Arte di Danilo Trogu", he created some sculpture-containers, unlikely containers with traditional shapes but torn apart by lacerations and tears, which he presented at the art exhibition held at the Circolo Stella.
