Antonio Scordia (Santa Fè 1918 - Rome 1998) In 1936 he attended the Free School of the French Academy. He collaborates with drawings for newspapers and magazines. He exhibited in 1945 at the Galleria del Secolo in Rome. His painting is located in the climate of the Roman School but with more expressionistic accents. In 1947 he moved to Argentina for two years, before returning to Europe where he stayed in London and Paris. In the 1950s, the color taken from French Post-Impressionism was elaborated and closed in abstract tiles which were given a compositional rhythm that recalled Cubist spatiality. He was invited for the first time to the Venice Biennale in 1952. He returned in 1954 and 1956 with a personal drawing room, where he received the Biennale Prize. A period of greater freedom begins, of dynamic accentuation of the forms, in which the color becomes more marked and expressive. In 1964, he occupied a personal painting room at the Venice Biennale. Collaborates with Fellini for the pictorial decoration in the scenography of the film Satiricon.
