Scott ken (1918-1991) Ken Scott was an American artist. He attended the Parson School of Design and Moses Soyer in New York. He began his artistic career as a painter, coming into contact with artists such as Sebastian Matta and Marc Chagall and with Peggy Guggenheim, who organized his first solo exhibition for him in 1944. In 1946 he moved to Europe and soon introduced his own pictorial style , colorful and imaginative, in the design of fabrics, creating floral wallpapers with the designer Joe Martin for important French textile manufacturers, such as Dior. In 1955 he founded the Falconetto brand in Milan together with Vittorio Fiorazzo, specializing in printed textiles for furnishings. Soon many Italian houses wanted his prints for foulards and scarves and from 1962 Scott designed many lines of clothes and accessories. Before his death he established his own Foundation (1989), owner of the various brands and the Ken Scott Studio.
